ABOUT GARY

Gary Peterson is the author or co-author of 29 published plays and musicals,

including adaptations of The Great Gatsby, Little Women, The Importance of Being Earnest,

Charley's Aunt, and Pygmalion (called Mayfair Lady).

He has also written such original titles as The Edge of Noir, Hank Cinque, & The Mummy Unravels.

Additionally, he collaborated on

Klondike Kalamity & A Little Christmas Spiritwith David A.  Byrne,

and The Brementown Musicians, with songwriter Larry Nestor.  

 

Peterson is a retired, Emmy-winning video editor for Disney/ABC in Chicago. 

He has worked on numerous television productions including The Oprah Winfrey Show

In 1984, Peterson received a national Emmy Award for his video editing work at the Los Angeles Summer Olympics. He has also won Regional Emmys in 2007 and 2017.
